Vernon M. Robertson is a native Texan and the Pastor of New Life Community Church. Vernon M. Robertson is a charismatic leader; a visionary; a provocative thinker; and entrepreneur. A socially conscious preacher for 30 years, Dr. Vernon M. Robertson has made it his mission to empower people to change the community. His message is clear: If Christians are to positively impact the world they must be willing to minister beyond the walls of the church.
Prepared for God's Calling
Vernon M. Robertson began preaching at the age of 26. He is the son of the late Dr. R.M Robertson and Chanie Robertson, a highly respected minister of the Gospel who served as the Moderator for New Life Community Church. Vernon M. Robertson was born in Dallas Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree, where he studied Radio-TV and Journalism. He earned a certificate degree from Southern Baptist Institute. He earned his Master Degree and Doctorate of Ministry from Living Word Bible College. His preaching ministry spans the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa.
A Vision for the People of God
Under the leadership of Dr. Robertson-NLCC has grown from approximately 100 members to over 450 members. The church currently has full and part-time employees and ministries that equip saints, evangelize unbelievers, and exalt Jesus Christ. The church has one worship services and three corporate Bible studies. Pastor Robertson is well known for his Hold Your Hope Broadcast which he launched in 1994. His preaching style has made him one of the most respected pastors among this generation.
A firm believer in collective economic empowerment and community involvement, Pastor Robertson is the Founder/CEO of Hold Your Hope and Build your Hope Ministries, and on the Governing Board of Lakewood Development and New Life Learning Center. Pastor Robertson has received numerous awards and recognition.
Pastor V.M Robertson is married to Denise Sanders-Robertson, founder of Girl Talk and Afterward Ministries in Tyler and Dallas areas. They are the parents of two beautiful daughters and two sons, Kyndal and Cydni Robertson, and Vernon Deon Jones and Simeon Robertson.
